Aunt Gayle,
You were there for me at a very unhappy time in my life,
you gave me shelter and acceptance. You opened your heart
and your home to me at a time when I needed it most, You have always meant
a lot to me and though the years and distance grew, the love and graditude
remained the same. May you hold a spot in Heaven for all those who love and miss you in this world.
My thoughts, prayers, and love are ever present for those left behind.
Uncle Paul, Brian, Timmy, Debbie, Travis and Jennifer, I am truly sorry for your loss, she was a
good, thoughtful, caring woman, and I know that you all will miss her deeply.
Susan.

Mom, You were the inspiration of my life. You were the root of my foundation which my life was built on. Your love for us was shown by your compassion, your fears, your support of us, and the occasional frustration. Even though you are no longer with us, you will be in our hearts and our thoughts forever. I loved you very much and I will miss you. Deb

Aunt Gayle had passion for life and I remember her letting me drive her big caddy when I wasn't big enough to reach the pedals. She was fearless and sweet. She will be sadly missed but not forgotten.

So go then, I will wait for you. The flowers in the garden will mark your absence
and rejoice the day of your return.
Of my love you are so sure,so sure you can take it with you.
Cupped in the hands that you raise to your face. As you still think of me.
And if you need to, you can show it to the world. A world that couldn't begin to understand what lives in an absent uncaring heart. That couldn't begin to understand
what a heart can truely feel.
This is where I will wait for you. Stealing imaginary kisses as time goes by.
Time, time cannot erase the memories and desire, that you cup in the hands that you raise to your face. As you still think of me.
Throughout your journey it will lead you back to me. For I'll still be waiting here dreaming, dreaning of your unknown whereabouts. Picturing the scene you'll return to, and how you'll return. I dream
This is where I will wait for you. Stealing imaginary kisses as time goes by. Dream.
A noise, and the wind awakes me, and you are already here.

I am so thankful that I had the privilege to know and work with Gayle. She was always smiling and encouraging others--and never let anyone know what true suffering she must have been going through. When my dad was diagnosed with cancer, she quickly dropped me a note of encouragement--knowing first hand what thoughts were going through our minds. Her determination and refusing to give up her fight were an encouragement to all of us. This world is a better place because of the lives she has touched. I'm so glad we were sisters in Christ and find my personal comfort in knowing she has a new body--free from all cancer and pain--and that we will one day be laughing together, again!

Dear Paul and all,
I am so glad that Gayle
and I got to know each other
better the last couple of years
thanks to E-Mail. I was 8 yrs.
younger than Gayle and totally
in awe of her. She was so beau-
tiful and fun. Stephen, Chester,
Gayle, and Barbara always locked
me out of the room when we would
visit Aunt Myra. We would go
visit them once a month and
Gayle always kept us laughing.
Believe it or not my dad used
to give Myra permanents! I
remember one time Gayle was
going out to a prom or something
and was wearing this netty,
strapless, aqua dress and looked
gorgeous, I think she looked
like Julia Roberts. Needless
to say, when she gave me the
dress a year or two later for
dress-ups, I was thrilled. I
used to pretend I was her.
Well, anyway I have lots of
happy memories of her and am
happy and proud to be related
to her. She was a kind, loving
person who loved you all
dearly. I hope we can stay in
touch now that we have found
each other again.
We are all praying for you
and will continue to do so.
Love, Laurel

Rebecca and I continue to pray for your family as we prayed for Gayle while she was with us. She was a bright, fun person and one of my favorite cousins. I will always remember the night when we were in our early teens and we went to the carnival together and I had to beat off all the guys with a stick. One guy was so persistent that he rode the ferris wheel with us in our gondola. I finally had to get a policeman to get him off our backs. The guy wasn't too bright and didn't know what I meant when I told the officer that he was being "obnoxious." Gayle's path and mine did not cross very often in later life, but I always remembered fondly the times we had spent together in childhood. I imagine that those who were fortunate enough to spend time with Gayle in her adult years were blessed as well. I am grateful to have known her and will miss her. The memory of her vitality will inform the rest of my life.

Gayle, now that you are in the presense of God, you are again strong, and complete, without pain or weakness.
You're spirit is as alive as when it was housed in your body...but now it is free to rejoice in being with the Father! May your husband-Paul, and children, feel your spirit's presense...for you are here, even more so than before. God be with your family, who stays behind until their spirits are one day joined with yours'.
