Obituary of Robert Harold Hardman

Hardman, Robert, Sr. ?Harold,? 81, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Wednesday October 11, 2000 at Bayfront Medical Center of a heart attack. Born in Clendennin, WV, to Guy and Susie Hardman, he moved to St. Petersburg in 1968 from Charleston, WV. He was an embalmer for Hardman and Hardman Funeral Home in WV. He worked for Union Carbide in WV for 20 years and also as a coal miner for DuPont Chemicals. He was owner of the Skipper Motel on Treasure Island for seven years. He served in the Army during WWII Army and was a Protestant. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth Sue Hardman and his son, Robert Harold Hardman, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lena A.; one son, Wilton ?Guy,? St. Petersburg; four granddaughters: Michelle Hardman-Wilder, Bloomington, IN; Beverly Edwards, Brooksville, FL; Gyan Hardman, St. Petersburg; Elizabeth Hardman, Hickory, NC; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Wanda Boggs, Charleston, WV; and Dorothy Downey, St. Albans, WV.
