Obituary of Joseph Joe'' J. Plaia

Plaia, Joseph J. ?Joe,? 78, of Largo, died Sunday October 22, 2000 at Edward White Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he came here in 1982 from Altamonte Springs, FL., and was a Roman Catholic. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Sears, Roebuck and Company after 35 years as Manager, Automotive Department in Altamonte Springs, Fl. Survivors include his daughter, Mary Mevoli of Largo, FL, his son, James R. Plaia of Florence, Italy, his sister, Francis May of Hammonton, N.J., his brother, Peter Plaia of Satellite Beach, Florida, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 300 E. Bay Drive, Largo, FL 33770-9850 or Edward White Hospital in St. Petersburg.
