Hassler, Frederick J. ?Fred?, 67, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday January 16, 2001 at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he came here in 1976. He was a retired insurance agent. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Frances M. Hassler, 2 sons, Frederick J. Hassler, Jr. and Christopher Hassler, both of St. Petersburg, 6 daughters, Frances Trembath, Elizabeth Hassler, Mary Hassler, Rita Miller, Cynthia Mucerino and Suzanne Hassler, all of St. Petersburg, a sister, Elizabeth Casher of St. Petersburg and 8 grandchildren.
