Obituary of James J.R.'' R. Barnette

Barnette, James R. ?J.R.,? 76, of St. Petersburg, FL died Tuesday January 23, 2001 at St. Anthony?s Hospital in St. Petersburg. He was the son of the late Robert and Phoebe Grove Barnette and was born in Waynesburg, PA. He later moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1973 from Bethesda, MD. He served in the Navy during WWII and retired as Chief Petty Officer in 1963 after twenty years of service. He then went to work as an Electrician with the Dept. of Defense. He was a member of the Church At Village Green. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Louise Grimes Barnette who died on July 18, 2000, and by a sister, Mary Frances Grimes and a brother, Bobby Barnette. Survivors include two nieces: Carol Buckley, Fairfax, VA; and Sandra Sue Cheek, Waynesburg, PA; Sister-in-law, Monaruth Sams, St. Petersburg; and several great nieces and nephews.-Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-McLeod Chapel, St. Petersburg, FL.
