Obituary of Ernest W. Ernie'' Metcalf

Metcalf, Ernest W. ?Ernie?, 83, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday March 1, 2001 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Born in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, he came here in 1979 from Central Islip, New York. He was a plumber and a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post 273, Madeira Beach and a member of St. Paul?s Catholic Church, St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Elizabeth Ann ?Betty? Metcalf, a daughter, Susan Bauers of East Islip, New York, 2 sons, Thomas of Bonita Springs, Florida and Paul of Bay Shore, New York, a sister, Lorna Barry of Valley Stream, New York, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
