Obituary of Robert O. Burgess

Burgess, Robert O., 74, of St. Petersburg, FL., formerly of Wellsville, died Tuesday March 13, 2001 at home. Born in Scio, NY, he came to St. Petersburg, FL in 1956 from Wellsville, NY. He was a retired automobile mechanic. He was a veteran and served on the USS Amsterdam in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Burgess was a member of the VFW-Sunshine City Post# 6827. Survivors include his son, Wayne of St. Petersburg, FL, his daughter, Sheila Ostrovskis of St. Petersburg, FL, two sisters, Clara Sherwood of Wellsville, NY, and Frances DeBarbieri of Oldsmar, FL, two granddaughters, Crystal Baxley of Old Town, FL, and Jessica Ostrovskis of St. Petersburg, FL, one great grandson, several nieces and nephews.
