McKenzie, Viola Geneva ?Vi?, 89, of St. Petersburg, died Friday March 30, 2001 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Born in Moultrie, Georgia, she came here in 1930 from Georgia. She was a homemaker and a member of Allendale United Methodist Church, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bethlehem Chapter in St. Petersburg, and an avid baker and cook. Survivors include a son, Fred McKenzie of Titusville, Florida, 2 daughters, Melinda Kohrt of Minnetonka, Minnesota and Nancy Gettys of Glide, Oregon, 2 sisters, Gladys Ziccardo of Murphy, North Carolina and Marion Smith of Roseburg, Oregon, 5 grandchildren, Kevin Kohrt of Framingham, Massachusetts, Keene Kohrt of Monona, Wisconsin, Terry Kohrt of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Dwayne Gettys of Sutherlin, Oregon and Deborah Gettys of LaGrande, Oregon, and 8 great grandchildren.
