Obituary of Frederick Eugene Black

Black, Frederick Eugene, 82, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday May 9, 2001 at home. Born in Brooksville, Maine, he came here in 1994 from Berlin, CT. He retired in 1984 as a steel draftsman for Berlin Steel in Berlin, CT. He was a veteran during World War II and served in the Army and Merchant Marines. He was a longtime friend of Bill W. Survivors include his wife, Hattie Gay of St. Petersburg, four daughters, Joann Phelps of Windsor, CT, Sharon Denison of Middletown, CT, Laura Tyler of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, and Sherry Reyes of Cromwell, CT, one son, Fred, Jr. of Palm Coast, FL, one sister, Doris Grafton of El Cajon, CA, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Bobbitt Chapel, St. Petersburg.
