Obituary of Irene R. May

May, Irene R., 86, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday April 14, 2001 at St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg after a short illness. Born in Iron River, MI, she came here 39 years ago from Panama Canal Zone. She retired as a Unit Secretary for St. Petersburg General Hospital where she had worked for 17 years. She was a member of the Northwest Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg, the Kenneth City Woman?s Club, and OES in Fern Leaf in Canal Zone. Mrs. May was also an avid card player and seamstress. Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Alice Osgood of Largo, and Judith Reed of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, three granddaughters, Maija Reed-Shepard of Peekskill, NY, Danielle Osgood and Dawn Osgood both of Largo, two grandsons, John A. Reed of Alaska, and Matthew Osgood of Largo, three great grandchildren, Andrew Shepard, Tia Shepard and Myles Shepard all of Peekskill, NY. Memorial Service will be held 4p.m. Monday Apr. 23, 2001 at Northwest Presbyterian Church, 6330 - 54th Avenue N., St. Petersburg, FL 33709. Memorial contributions may also be made to the church.
