Beres, Joseph W. Jr. ?Joe?, 71, of South Pasadena, Florida, died Sunday April 15, 2001 at home. Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, he came here in 1986 after retiring as the Chief of Police of Norwalk, Connecticut, where he worked for 30 years. He was a Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ann A. Beres, 3 sons, Michael J. Beres of Lithia, Florida, Joseph W. Beres, III of Redding, Connecticut and John J. Beres of Norwalk, Connecticut, his mother, Esther Beres of St. Petersburg, a sister, Barbara B. Moseley of South Pasadena, a brother, Thomas Beres of Cupertino, California, 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
