Obituary of Francis Caps'' H. Knowlton

Knowlton, Francis H. ?Cap,? of St. Petersburg, died Saturday April 21, 2001 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg. Born in Rosindale, MA, he came here in 1980 from Lewiston, Maine. He was a former Army Captain and served in India and World War II. He retired in May 1977 after 31 years as an engineer for New England Telephone and Telegraph Company in Lewiston, ME. Mr. Knowlton was a member of St. Vincent?s Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg, where he served as an usher. He was also a volunteer for St. Vincent?s Thrift Shop in Gulfport. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Gladys A. of St. Petersburg, his son, Scott L. of Palmer, MA, two daughters, Gail K. Fox of East Hampstead, N.H. and Deborah M. Chase of Falmouth, ME, four grandchildren, and several nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Bobbitt Chapel, St. Petersburg.
