Obituary of Adele Ida DeMatteis

DeMatteis, Adele Ida, 86, of St. Petersburg, died Friday April 27, 2001 at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she came here in 1969 from Altoona, Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker and a member and past president of the Blair County Medical Auxiliary in Altoona, Pennsylvania and a member of the Blairmont Woman?s Golf Association in Pennsylvania. Locally, she was a member of Lakewood Country Club and a past member of the Pinellas County Medical Auxiliary. She was a member of St. John?s Catholic Church, St. Pete Beach, and was an avid golfer, bridge player and organist. Survivors include 2 sons, Dr. Ralph DeMatteis of St. Petersburg and Dr. James DeMatteis of Erie, Pennsylvania, a daughter, Carol Shaffer of Toledo, Ohio, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
