Obituary of John Louis Basile

Basile, John Louis, 72, of St. Petersburg, died suddenly on Saturday April 28, 2001. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he came here in 1988 from New Port Richey, FL. He retired from Pan American World Airlines as an Accounting Technician in 1978. He participated in the Pan American Para Olympics playing basketball, archery and table tennis. He was an avid pool player. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, two sisters, Betty Gagnon of Lake Worth, FL and Claudette Hayes of Staten Island, New York, four stepsons, J. Donald Groseclose, Jr. of Port Charlotte, FL, Glenn M. Groseclose of Westminster, MD, David H. Groseclose of Cockeysville, MD, and Steven J. Groseclose of Silver Springs, MD, six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews,James Basile, Port Jervis, NY, Thomas Basile, Puebla, Mexico, Robert Basile, Virginia, John Basile, Corpus Christi, TX, Daniel Basile, Pittsburgh, PA, Michael Basile, Hallandale, FL, Thomas Fitzgerald, New Jersey, Richard Fitzerald, Ft. Laudedale, Ricky Hayes, Syracuse, NY, Michael Hayes, Staten Island, NY, Nicolas Basile, PA, Mary Valerga, Lake Worth, FL, Maureen Patrisey and Suzanne O?Gara both of Staten Island, NY, Kelly Stencer, CT, and Teresa Basile, PA.
