Obituary of Nicholas Nick'' R. Whoolery

Whoolery Sr., Nicholas R. ?Nick?, 77, of Pinellas Park, Fl., died Friday, May 11, 2001 at his son?s home in Azle, Texas after a long illness. Born in Allenport, Pennsylvania, he came here in 1966 from Dublin, Georgia. He retired from the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines where he was Medical Administrative Assistant. Following retirement, he was a night auditor for LaQuinta Inns in St. Petersburg. FL. He also served in the US Army during WW II and the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in St. Petersburg and the Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Gulfport, FL, and a lifetime member of the DAV. Proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Elizabeth. Survivors include four sons: Nicholas R. Whoolery Jr. of Cave Junction, OR, Ronald L. Whoolery of Catawba, SC, Wendel J. Whoolery of Pinellas Park, FL, and William J.Whoolery of Azle, TX; two daughters: Colleen F. Halderman of Henderson, NC and Jean M.
