Obituary of Clement Turpin

Turpin, Clement, 82 of Largo, died Friday May 18, 2001 at Largo Medical Center, Largo. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and came to this area in 1990 from Kissimmee, FL. He retired as a firefighter for the City of Stanford, Conn., after 25 years. He was an army veteran of WWII, receiving the Silver Star, a Bronze Star and the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Largo, Order of the Purple Heart, a life member of the D.A.V., and a member of VFW, Darien, Conn. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lillian M; a son, Clement M. Turpin, Largo; five daughters, Carol Clarke, Danbury, Conn., Karin Turpin, Stanford, Conn., Debbie Goodson, Windsor Locks, Conn. Sharon Turpin, Largo, and Sheila Turpin, Danbury, Conn.; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
