Obituary of Emily C. Alkire

Alkire, Emily C., 83, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday May 20, 2001 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Born in Denver, Colorado, she came here in 1953 from Silver Spring, Maryland. She was a legal secretary for 25 years having worked for several law firms. She was a member of St. Paul?s Catholic Church where she was active in the St. Paul?s Senior Citizens Club and the Womens Guild. She also worked part-time as a secretary at St. Anthony?s Friary. Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn A. Stewart of Kissimmee, Florida, a son, John Alkire of Williamson, South Carolina, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
