Newell, Dorothy Philpot, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday May 29, 2001 at Bon Secours-Maria Manor. Born in Rochester, New York, she came here in 1932. She retired as a retail sales clerk from the S&H Green Stamps store in St. Petersburg. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she was active in the Women?s Guild and was a member of the Moose Lodge Women?s. Survivors include 2 daughters, Joann Hagberg and Mary Duchesneau, both of St. Petersburg, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
