Obituary of Buddy Lee Sipe

Sipe, Buddy Lee, 67, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday June 3, 2001 at home of natural causes. Born in Jackson, Michigan, he came here 20 years ago from Concord, Michigan, and has been a seasonal resident for 10 years. Locally, he was a groundskeeper at Pinecrest Golf Course in Largo and worked at various golf courses in Florida and Michigan for over 30 years and was an avid golfer and bowler. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, served in the Navy prior to serving in the Army, where he was a medic, and received the National Defense Service Medal while in the Army. Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Lee Sipe of St. Petersburg, 2 daughters, Sharlene Croud and Diane Lamarche, both of St. Petersburg, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Richard Sipe of Greenville, South Carolina and Benjamin Sipe, Jr., of Palmetto, Florida, 2 sisters, Jeanne Lark and Rosie Kittridge, both of Concord, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.
