Mrs. Hammel was a customer of mine when I was a pharmacist in St. Pete. She and Dr. Hammel were two of the NICEST customers there were. They were an inspiration in the love they had for each other and for their family. She even threw a bridal shower for me at her house ten years ago when I got married! What a lady! My condolences to her family-she was awesome. I am, however, so happy she is now in heaven, and back together with Joe.

I was very saddened to see of your mother's passing. I worked in the pharmacy department of Eckerd for many years in the early 90's. It was always the high spot of the day when Mr. and Mrs. Hammel came in to pick up their medications and share some conversation. But what I remember most was the unending kindness your mom had for everyone. I was placed on bedrest during my pregnancy with my first son. Eloise appeared at my door step with food prepared to last several days. She did not want my husband or I to have to worry about "chores" during what was a very scary time for us. I will never forget that day or Eloise Hammel. My deepest sympathies are extended to you at this time.

Dear Eileen, Linda and JoAnn,
We were very saddend to read of your mom's death. She was a very special person to our family - so kind, caring and concerned about my mom and dad. She gave me a bridal shower 47 years ago and her gift of a toaster is still in use. It has never had a repair and still has the same cord! We think of her every time we use it.
We know your mom and dad are enjoying the reward of their labors here on earth and have become a part of the communion of saints that we all hope to be included in some day. May memories console you and may God's peace reign in your hearts and comfort you in your loss.

I extend my deepest sympathy on the loss of your sister. Having lost one of my sisters I can, to some extent, understand your loss. Dr. John and Leona Meyer
