Obituary of George Henry Low

Low, George Henry, 90, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday July 12, 2001 at Bon Secours-Maria Manor. Born in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, he came here in 1988 from Warwick, Rhode Island. He was a Supervisor of Music for the public school system in Warwick, Rhode Island and Rutland, Vermont. He received his master degree from the University of Michigan and his music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music. He was a member of Rotary International and ?Harris Fellow? in both Warwick and locally. He was the founder and conductor of Warwick Symphony Orchestra, a member of the East Greenwich Yacht Club, the New England Conservatory Alumni Association, the University of Michigan Alumni Association, the Music Educator?s Association and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in Warwick, Rhode Island. Survivors include 2 daughters, Elizabeth Buch of Lyme, Connecticut and Margaret Halacy of Concord, New Hampshire, a son, David D. Low of Arlington, Virginia, a sister, Muriel Giles of East Boothbay Harbor, Maine, a brother, Robert Low of Aurora, Colorado, 3 granddaughters, Andrea Buch and Laura Buch, both of Connecticut and Erin Halacy of New Hampshire and a grandson, Dylan Halacy of Massachusetts.
