Obituary of Anita Shanahan

Shanahan, Anita, 79, of St. Petersburg, died Friday July 27, 2001 at Bayfront Medical Center of ovarian cancer. Born in Bronx, New York, she came here as a winter resident in 1968 and moved here as a permanent resident in 1999 from Flushing, New York. She was an insurance adjuster for Home Life in Manhattan, New York. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed knitting. She was a member of St. Bede?s Episcopal Church. Survivors include a nephew, William Shanahan of Westbury, New York, a sister, Patricia Shanahan, and a companion, Eloise Cooke of St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Bede's Episcopal Church, 2500-16th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33704.
