Obituary of Curtis Andrew Long

Long, Curtis Andrew, 84, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday July 31, 2001 at Hospice Woodside. He was a native of Nettleton, Arkansas and came here in 1938. He retired in 1975 from Gulf Oil Corporation in Port Tampa, where he was a driver/salesman for 28 years. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member the Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ in St. Petersburg. He was also a 50-year member of St.Petersburg Lodge #139; F. & A. M. Secretary for 18 years; Tampa Valley of Scottish Rite, K.C.C.H.; Adah Chapter 219 O.E.S; Order of the Amaranth Largo Court; St. Petersburg York Rite Bodies. Survivors include his wife Margaret D., two sons, Gary C. of Tarpon Springs, and P. Andrew of Lakewood, CO, two daughters, Barbara A. Johnson of Largo, and Sandra J. Bloise of Seffner, one sister, LaVerne Clark of Jonesboro, Arkansas, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Florida Suncoast.
