Obituary of George W. Marshall

Marshall, George W., 82, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday August 12, 2001 at Kindred Hospital St. Petersburg. Born in Ritchey, Illinois, he came here in 1951 from Joliette, Illinois. He was an engineer for Florida Power Corporation for 42 years, where he retired as a supervisor of production. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the St. Petersburg Astronomy Club, the Florida Power Corporation Retirees Association, a lifetime member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, a member of Will County, Illinois Historical Society, a Mason, the Pioneer Sons of Kansas, and a member of the St. Petersburg Pistol Club. He was a member of St. Raphael?s Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Odette Marshall, a daughter, Odette McGown of Houston, Texas, a sister, Elaine Lowell of Fruitland Park, Florida, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
