Hammer, Thelma R., 73, of St. Petersburg, died Monday September 3, 2001. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she came here in 1986 from Foxboro, Massachusetts. She was a retired elementary school teacher having taught in the City of Franklin School System in Franklin, Massachusetts, for 20 years. She was a member of Coquina Key Garden Club, Boyd Hill Nature Trail, Hadassah and the Temple Congregation B?nai Israel in St. Petersburg. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Bernard Hammer, 2 daughters, Esther Ruth Minick of Potomac, Maryland and Stacey A. Morton of Clermont, Florida, a son, Rusty Hammer of Fort White, Florida, and 2 granddaughters, Cassie Minick and Aly Minick, both of Potomac, Maryland.
