Obituary of Louneal W. Bowman

Bowman, Louneal W., 82, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, September 14th, 2001 at Bayfront Medical Center. She was born in La Grange, GA and came here in 1945 from Atlanta. Her husband of 59 years, Curtis Weal Bowman, M.D. was a St. Petersburg resident since 1923 and was a Urologist for 39 years. He died in March of 2001. Mrs. Bowman attended West Georgia College in Carrolton, GA, the George Peabody Graduate School of Public Health in Nashville, TN, and was a graduate of Emory University School of Nursing in Atlanta. Locally, she was a member and Past President of the Junior League of St. Petersburg, Pinellas County Medical Auxiliary, and the Southeastern Surgical Congress Auxiliary. She served on the Board of the Community Welfare Council of St. Petersburg and the South Pinellas Red Cross. She is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy Bowman Keller of St. Petersburg and Mary Ann Bowman Beil of Savannah, GA; 1 son, John Newton Bowman of St. Petersburg; 1 sister, Margaret Fosberg of Moscow, ID; 1 granddaughter, Katharine Bowman Keller and 1 grandson, Joseph Gerald Keller both of St. Petersburg.
