Aunt Helen, Tommy, and John,
I have very fond memories of Uncle Tommy. I remember numerous Sunday mornings when my dad would take my brother Bill and I to visit Uncle Tommy at McQueen Brothers Fuel Oil. While dad and Uncle Tommy visited inside over their coffee cups, Bill and I would play outside on the fuel oil trucks and all the other equipment. When you all purchased the ranch in Dunnellon I remember going there to visit on weekends and we would swim in the pool with that wonderful slide! We used to beg Uncle Tommy to hook the garden hose to the slide, so we could slide even faster. He would always let us beg a few minutes then give in with that great big smile of his. It was at the Dunnellon ranch that he let me pick out a horse to ride and call my own. He told me I could rename the horse as the ranch foreman called her "Bubble Belly" and he agreed with me that she was far too pretty for that name so I decided we should call her "Mary Legs". Bill and I used to ride Mary Legs for hours around and around the ranch house. When you purchased the Old Town property I remember visiting Uncle Fletcher's farm and Ronnie and Tommy would take us for wild, and I do mean WILD, rides on their swamp buggy all over that property of yours. Uncle Tommy will be greatly missed but his memory will live on forever in my heart. May God keep you all in his loving care during this difficult time.
Love,
Maggi
