Obituary of Adele Bullis

Bullis, Adele, 99, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday September 23, 2001 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park. She was born in New York, NY and came here in 1948 from Port Kent, NY. She was the daughter of the late John Robert and Clarisse DuBarry McKewen. Her husband, James J. Bullis, a son, J. Peter Bullis, 4 brothers and 4 sisters, preceded Adele in death. Mrs. Bullis was a supervisor for Bell-Tel Labs in Manhattan, NY before marrying and moving to Port Kent, NY. She and her husband managed the Pine Grove Hotel a family business. After moving to St. Petersburg, she worked with her husband, Jim in real estate. She was an Episcopalian. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Bullis Nelson, her husband Robert I. of St. Petersburg, a son, Richard I., his wife Jayne C. of Highlands, N.C., 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Michele, Rhonda, Dean and Suzanne, 5 great grandchildren, Amanda, Danielle, Cameron, Natasha and Brittany, one niece, and three nephews.
