Obituary of Lois Hall Kent

Kent, Lois Hall, 97, of St. Petersburg died Saturday September 29, 2001 at Palm Shores Retirement Center. She moved here in 1921 from her native Barney, GA. She was married for over 60 years to Lewis Z. Kent, who predeceased her in 1991. She graduated from Florida Southern and received her Masters degree in Education at the University of Florida. She was a teacher and Principal at Glenoak Elementary School in St. Petersburg until 1962. She was the Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Zonta. She was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg for 80 years. Survivors include a daughter: Annette Kent Cronk ? Wilsonville, OR; a son: Lewis Hall Kent ? St. Petersburg, FL; five 5 grandchildren: Lewis D. Kent and William D. Kent ? both of St. Petersburg, Lessie Ann Cronk ? Portland, OR, and Michael K. Cronk and Stephen V. Cronk ? both of Beaverton, OR; and six 6 great grandchildren. The family prefers memorial donations to First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg or Order of the Eastern Star.
