Hovencamp, Gladys, 84, of St. Petersburg died Thursday September 27, 2001 at Shore Acres Rehab & Nursing Center. Born in Elmira, NY, she moved to St. Petersburg in 1991 from Orlando. She worked as a teacher in the New York State Education System and then retired in 1986 from the Valencia Community College after 15 years of employment. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son: Dean W. Hovencamp ? New Orleans; and three 3 granddaughters: Kristin Hovencamp ? New York City, Kasey Hovencamp ?
