Obituary of Echillis Knight E.K.'' Sparks

Sparks, Echillis Knight, Jr. ?E.K.?, 80, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday October 3, 2001 at home of heart failure. Born in Albany, Georgia, he came here in 1921 from Miami, Florida. He was a carman in the railroad industry, retiring after 18 years working for the Pullman Company. He was a 1940 graduate of St. Petersburg High School and an Army Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Estelle H. Sparks, a daughter, Melissa A. Sparks of St. Petersburg, 3 sons, E.K. ?Skip? Sparks, III of Atlanta, Georgia, Timothy H. Sparks of Jacksonville, Florida, and Robert B. Sparks of St. Petersburg, 2 sisters, Elna Sparks Bozarth and Rena Sparks Wallace, both of St. Petersburg, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
