Obituary of June E. Layner

Layner, June E., 79, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday October 23, 2001 at home. She came here in 1963 from her native Chicago, Illinois. She was a telephone operator for Standard Milling in Chicago from 1940 to 1953. She was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary #181 of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John S. Layner of St. Petersburg, a daughter, Marylou Paynter of Venice, Florida, 3 sons, Gary of Auburndale, Florida and Brian and Steve, both of St. Petersburg, a stepson, J. Steve Layner of Fort Collins, Colorado, a sister, Carol Thompson of Galesville, Wisconsin and 13 grandchildren.
