Obituary of Gary A. Strickland

Strickland, Sr., Gary A., 56, of St. Petersburg, FL died Tuesday October 30, 2001 at home. He came here in 1981 from his native Charleston, WV. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of the USMC League, VFW and was active in PTSS at Bay Pines Medical Center helping other veterans. Survivors include his wife, Carol Petrie Strickland; two sons Gary A. Strickland of Spring Hill, FL and Jason Strickland of St. Petersburg, FL; one daughter Christina Strickland of St. Petersburg, FL; four sisters, Mary Anne Armentrout, Indian Rocks Beach, FL, Sarah Thompson of Seminole, FL, Thelma Hedrick and Betty Settles both of Rand, WV; one brother, Greg Strickland, Melbourne, FL; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
