Cobb, Joseph Monroe, 70, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday November 14, 2001 at St. Petersburg. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he came here in 1993 from Brooklyn. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War and retired in 1988 from the U.S. Postal Service, after 30 years of service in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York. He was a Catholic and an avid golfer and fisherman. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mona Cobb, a son, Joseph M. Cobb, Jr. of Santee, California, 2 daughters, Mary Alice Bogart of Carmel, New York and Mona Louise Obremski of Auburn, Massachusetts, 2 brothers, Michael Cobb of Bellmore, New York and James Cobb of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, a sister, Mary McDermott of Breezy Point, New York and 2 granddaughters, Bonnie Obremski and Cristy Obremski, both of Auburn, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher A. Cobb, USMC. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes and Cremation Tribute Center?Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
