Obituary of Charles B. Charlie'' Brock

Brock, Charles B. ?Charlie?, 75, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday December 12, 2001 at Kindred Care Hospital in St. Petersburg after a long illness. Born in Gilbert, Arkansas, and raised in Springfield, Missouri, he moved to St. Petersburg in 1961 to accept a position as an engineer with Electronic Communications, Inc. ECI. He retired from the Frisco Railroad in 1961 and from ECI in 1991. He was a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and later in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Palm Lake Christian Church, American Legion Goad Ballinger Post, Springfield and the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Kathleen ?Katie? of St. Petersburg; a son Dr. Karl Brock of St. Petersburg; a daughter Sheryl Brock of St. Petersburg; and three granddaughters Kristina, Amanda and Kara Brock.
