Obituary of William Crews Kilgore

Kilgore, William ?Bill? Crews, 75, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, December 29, 2001 at Hospice House Woodside. A native of St. Petersburg, he was a 1944 graduate of St. Petersburg High School. A 1951 graduate of Echols School of Mortuary Science in Philadelphia, he worked locally as a funeral director for 30 years. For the past 20 years, he owned and operated Kilgore Building Maintenance Supplies & Equipment. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Past affiliations include membership in both Northgate & St. Petersburg Lions Clubs, where he served as the International Counselor and District Governor of 35R in 1960 ? 1961. He was a member of the Pinellas County Funeral Directors Association, Committee of 100, and the St. Petersburg Masonic Lodge #139 F&AM. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty; a sister-in-law, Gene Kilgore of St. Petersburg; a brother-in-law and wife, Bill and Nada Turner of Douglasville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 300-East Bay Drive, Largo, Florida 33770. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes and Cremation Tribute Center ?
