Obituary of Dorothy G. Trotter

Trotter, Dorothy G., 68, of Sun City Center, formerly Dorothy G. Butler of St. Petersburg, died Saturday December 29, 2001 at Hospice of Sun City Center. Born in Syracuse, NY she moved to this area in 1964 from Utica, NY. She retired as Administrator for Bethany Towers after 28 years of service. She was named Certified Housing Manager by the National Center for Housing Management in Washington, DC, holding a designation of specialist in elderly housing. She was an Accredited Residential Manager ARM and a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management. She served on the ARM Standards and Service Committee and was appointed ARM emeritus status, appointed to serve on the Governing Board of Palms of Pasadena Hospital, served on the Mayor?s Citizens Advisory Committee as well as the Civil Defense Committee for the City of South Pasadena. She was Directorette of the Egypt Temple Shrine, member of the Eastern Star, Desoto Lodge, the Tarpon Springs Yacht Club, and the Elks Lodge #1224. She is survived by her husband Charles, a daughter, Kimberly B. Charette, St. Petersburg, a brother, William C. Gates, a niece, four nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
