Obituary of Walter L. Mezger

Mezger, Walter L., 81, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday March 2, 2002 at North Rehabilitation Center. Born in Camden, New Jersey, he came here in 1984 from Chicago, Illinois. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer of the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. He served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post #14, St. Petersburg, was a member of the V.F.W. and a member of the P.T. Boaters. He was a Catholic. Survivors include 2 daughters, Cecelia Mezger of Middletown, Connecticut and Lillian Mezger of Waukegan, Illinois, 2 sons, Matthew Mezger of North Chicago, Illinois and William Mezger of Lynnwood, Washington, a sister, Hariett Reeves of Camden, New Jersey, 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
