Obituary of James R. Ball

Ball, James R., 100, of Clearwater, died Friday, February 8th, 2002 at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor. He was born in New York City, NY and moved to St. Petersburg in 1963 from Hicksville, NY. He retired from the New York City Police Department as a Detective, after 23 years of service, and he was a member of Franklin Lodge #216 in New York City. Locally, he was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Petersburg. He moved to Clearwater in 1998. He is survived by 1 daughter, Eileen Metterle of Oldsmar; 2 grandsons, Col. John Metterle, USMC in Okinawa and James Metterle of Hudson, OH; 1 granddaughter, Jeanne Fedorshyn of Nashville, TN; and 7 great grandchildren.
