Obituary of Clare J. Trice

Trice, Clare J., 87, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday February 28, 2002 at Palm Shores of St. Petersburg. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, she came here in 1948 from Winnipeg. She was a graduate of Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing and served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during WWII in France and Austria. She was a member of Pasadena Community Church, where she was active in the Women?s Guild. She was a volunteer at the Museum of Fine Arts from its beginning and was a life member of its Stuart Society and she served several terms on the Museum?s Board of Trustees. She was a member of St. Petersburg Yacht Club, was a volunteer at Clearview Elementary School as a tutor, was a volunteer gray lady for the Red Cross at Crippled Children?s Hospital and later at All Children?s Hospital, where she was a member of the Guild, and she was a member of the Easter Seal Guild. Survivors include a sister, Gunda Plows, a brother, Stanley Jernberg, both of Canada, 3 stepsons, several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
