Obituary of William Joseph Bill'' Strong

Strong, William Joseph ?Bill?, 89, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, March 04, 2002 at Bon Secours ? Maria Manor Nursing Home of St. Petersburg. Born in Jackson?s Cove, Newfoundland he was a winter resident here for 20 years from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He retired in 1982 from New York and Massachusetts State Dept. of Education as Chief of Service. He was a member of the Congregational Church in West Yarmouth, MA and the Clock & Watch Association. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn; a son, Charles D., Belleair, FL; two grandsons, Christopher Strong, St. Petersburg and Gregory Strong, Tallahassee, FL; two sisters, Winifred and Nellie Strong, both of Canada; three brothers, Ross, Jack and Roy Strong, all of Canada and several nieces and nephews.
