Obituary of Eleanor M. Ellie'' Brooks

Brooks, Eleanor M. ?Ellie?, 89, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday March 14, 2002 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Born in Boston Roxbury, Massachusetts, she came here in 1982 from Waltham, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Lexington High School, where she lettered 3 times in field hockey and was a captain of the team. She was also very active and well known for her roles in the Drama Club and the theatre. She was a secretary for John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston and was past president of the Massachusetts Club of St. Petersburg and a member of the Hancock Club. She enjoyed dancing and was an extensive cruise ship traveler. She was a member of St. Raphael?s Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Jane A. Koenig of Boston, Massachusetts, 3 sons, John G. Curley of Largo, Joseph W. Curley of Winchendon, Massachusetts and James E. Curley of Seminole, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a nephew, Richard A. Roge of Brooksville, Florida. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel.
