Dear Mrs. Barr, Roger, Margaret, and Marsha, I am saddened by the passing of your husband and father. You know, of course, that he played a large role in my life-as the father of friends, as a neighbor, as a principal while a student, and as a principal while a beginning teacher. When we played in your grandmother's house, Roger, I had no idea that that wonderful woman was not your dad's biological mother, and when Candler walked around North Shore, the only special thing about him was that he was your dad's brother. And, Rog, when you sent me into Doc Brown's to buy stuff for you because it was Sunday, and you couldn't, I somehow knew that your dad would disapprove. In his own quiet way, Coke L. Barr played a powerful role in my life. I am better for it. Linda Link Pina Message from: Linda Link Pina 6/27/01, 5:09 PM I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family of Mr. Coke Barr.
