Obituary of Homer C. Carne

Homer C. Carne, 84, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Friday, March 9, 2001 at Golfview Nursing Home. He was born in Spokane, Washington and moved to St. Petersburg in 1970 from Westbrook, Maine. He was the manager of food plants and was a member of the Fifth Ave. Baptist Church in St. Petersburg where he served as an usher and was a member of the Couples Sunday School class. He was a model train enthusiast and was a member of The Railroad Enthusiasts, Inc. Mr. Carne studied voice in Boston, Massachusetts and sang in quartets. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Evelyn F. Carne, two daughters, Betty Carne of Pasadena, Maryland, Laurie Meserve of Sun City Center, Florida, one son, Thomas W. Carne of New Orleans, Louisiana, one brother, Lloyd S. Carne of Palmira, New York, one sister, Margrett Poole of Tennessee, seven grandchildren, and one great grandson. $(document).ready(function(){ });
