Frank Louis DeCola, 80, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1996 from Levittown, PA. He was a retired truck driver and was an Air Force veteran of WW II. He was a member of DAV Chapter #13 in St. Pete Beach and was a former professional Baseball player and Catcher for the Philadelphia Athletics Farm team. He was Catholic. He is survived by three brothers, Angelo Vincent "Vinnie" DeCola, Anthony DeCola, Eugene DeCola, one sister, Helen Avington, his life partner, Rosann F. Gross all of St. Petersburg, and many nieces and nephews.
