Obituary of Charles T. Houston

Memorial contributions to the charity of the donor's choice Charles Thomas Houston, 81, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, January 20, 2001 at St. Anthony's Hospital. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1979 from his native Lynn, Massachusetts and was a printer for General Electric Co. He also was a Licensed Pasteurizer in the state of Oregon and worked at Derby Lane Greyhound Track in St. Petersburg. He was an Army veteran of WW II where he received a Bronze Star and The Purple Heart. He then served in the National Guard Reserves until retirement He was a member of the VFW Sunshine City Post #6827 in St. Petersburg and the Golden Fleece Masonic Lodge in Boston, MA. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Thelma C. Houston, two sons, Charles Thomas "Tom" Houston, III of Myrtle Point, OR, Samuel Joseph Culp Houston of Gresham, OR, three daughters, Charlene Gary of Myrtle Point, OR, Joan Tapanainen of Novato, CA, Stephne Lynn Houston of Myrtle Point, OR, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. $(document).ready(function(){ });
