Obituary of Roy Miller

Roy S Miller, 64, of St Petersburg, passed away at his home Monday, Jan 5th, 2009 after a long battle with Prostate Cancer. Born in St. Louis, he came to St Petersburg in 1951. A graduate of Boca Ciega High School, he spent many years in the moving and storage business before settling into construction with his brother-in-law, at P. J. Callaghan Co., Inc. He also owned and operated a travel agency. He was a charter member of Cornerstone Bible Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Melba Miller, as well as an infant son, Roy Joseph Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Susan and beloved sister Sue MacDonald, Uncle Stanley Miller Lorraine, St. Louis, MO, cousins Carol Bohnert Bruce, Houston, TX, Mary Ann Yahl Jack, Chandler, AZ, Dan Miller Kim, Lonedell, MO, Julie Miller, St Louis, MO, John Miller Ann Chicago, IL and Steve Miller Linda, St. Louis, MO. He worked hard and played hard, loved well and was well loved. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and Habitat for Humanity would be greatly appreciated. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 23rd at 4pm at Isla Del Sol, 6000 Sun Boulevard, St. Pete, FL 33715.
