Obituary of Eleanor V. V.

Eleanor Veronica Kleinmeier, more appropriately known as Ellie, born on August 9th, 1924, passed away on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. Ellie passed peacefully, and was surrounded by four of her children. Eleanor was survived by the following children: Kerry Campbell of Patchogue, NY, Susan Franklin of Tampa, FL, Nancy Kongoletos of Southold, NY, James (Jace) Kleinmeier of Garland, TX, Joseph Kleinmeier of Dunedin, FL and Evelyn (Evie) Little of St. Petersburg, FL. Ellie was pre deceased by two of her daughters, Elizabeth (Betty) Kleinmeier and Barbara Campbell. During her lifetime, Ellie was twice widowed. Her first husband was Arthur (Arty) Campbell, followed by husband James (Jim) Kleinmeier. Ellie's siblings include brother Walter D. Connor of Brookline MA, and her first cousin Evelyn Fritz of Oakdale, NY, who was special enough to be considered her younger sister. Ellie's extended family includes sons in law Wilson (Bill) Franklin, Diamond Kongoletos, Julius (Juls) Little, and daughters in law Toni Kleinmeier and Carrie Kleinmeier. Ellie has thirteen wonderful grandchildren: Lauren DeMarco, Jenne Kemler, Jacob Ruppel (with her in Heaven), Christopher Kongoletos, Johnathan Kongoletos, Christopher Kleinmeier, Joshua Kleinmeier, Joseph Kleinmeier, Jesse Little, Madison Kleinmeier, Kassidy Kleinmeier, Courtney Hughes and Jordon Hughes. In addition, Ellie has six great grandchildren. Throughout her life, Ellie held positions as a licensed massage therapist, a real estate agent, a full time mother and also served in the United States Marine Corp. Ellie drove trucks while stationed in Pearl Harbor during World War II. She most recently resided at the Seasons of Largo assisted living facility, and was well-known there and liked by all. She was a Roman Catholic and formerly belonged to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Her family and friends will miss Ellie's larger than life personality, her spirit of determination and her crazy jokes and sense of humor. Ellie was the life of the party, and made an impact on everyone she met.
