Very sorry to hear of the passing of Sack. I always enjoyed seeing Sack with our days at SPPD, he was certainly one of the good ones and was never short on stories, some were probably even true. He had the ability to leave you laughing once he left. He had the ability to turn your day into a good day.
Rest in peace my friend and spread your stories on the other side.
Jerry & Donna Babcock.

Becky and family,
I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. He was always such a nice guy and would always have time to stop and say hi whenever I saw you all out around town. They don't make them Sack anymore. Sending prayers for peace to your family.

Played softball with Dave in the police Olympics and had an adjoining patrol zone back in the good old days. You always knew if you needed backup he would be there. He was fearless.
He will be missed

I met David while serving in the USN, before the SPPD days. We worked together several times. I would describe Dave as a man who was always there when needed, did the job with heart, and didn't stop there. He had a good sense of humor, and enjoyed the job. I'll miss seeing him at the reunion, and altho he was ill, still kept the sense of humor going.
RIP my friend. Fair winds and following seas. My sincere condolences to the family.

As my heart breaks please know how honored and blessed I am to have you as my Father-in-law. A man I love, admire and respected. Until we meet again, hugs and I love you. Condolences to the entire family especially my Mother-in-law Becky that loved Dave so much, cared for him throughout his illness, a debt we can never repay her but we will be eternally grateful for.
