John was a friend to me for almost all my years in college. We shared many good times. I attended his first wedding. Over the years we lost touch, such is life. John was the kind of guy who could light up a room. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Anita,
I just received the news about John's passing and it hit me terribly hard. John was a great friend and a great dad. I know he and I fell out of touch as so many do, but the mere mention of his name or a flash from the past always brought a smile to my face and usually would be followed up with a story about him. My condolences to you and your family.

Anita, my heart goes out to your family and friends during this sad and difficult time. Please find comfort from Isaiah 33:24 - "And no resident will say: I am sick.” God never intended mankind to get sick, grow old or die. Rev 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 1 Corinthians 15:26 "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." Soon almighty God, Jehovah promises to resurrect those lost in death. (John 5:28,29) So while you grieve now for your lost loved one, allow God’s word to comfort and stregthen you while you eagerly await the day you can see your loved one again. The best is yet to come!

So very sorry for your loss. I worked with Cathy Quimby (John's late mother) at Division of Employment Security in Brockton, Ma. for many years, and got to know Al, John and Jean as well. They were a wonderful family, always happy and smiling. A cousin in Vermont passed with the same cancer as John had. I had a mastectomy on Oct. 18th due to Breast Cancer, and will be starting Chemo on Tues., Nov. 27th at the Greene Cancer Center in Brockton. Once again, Condolences to John's family and Jean and her family. Will have a Mass offered for Cathy and John in the near future. I will add them to my prayer list. God Bless everyone

I'm sorry to read of your loss. While there is nothing that can take the sting of death away, may you find comfort in God's promise to one day "swallow up death forever" (Isaiah 25:8) and to "wipe away the tears from all faces." (Revelation 21:4). Even more comforting, the Bible says that God will have "all those in the memorial tombs (or grave) come out" free of sickness, and pain. (John 5:28,29). May these scriptures help you cope until that time comes. For more information, type the following link into your browser: tinyurl.com/mezwv23.
